earth hour!

I'm sure most of you have seen this somewhere wherever you were. So did you join in and switch off your lights? I hope you did, because I did. If I can do it, you can too!

I think this campaign is not bad, but is it widespread enough, do people know about it? I know they have it on Discovery channel and the internet, but where else? I also know that it's a global thing, because when I was in Hong Kong, they had the same campaign too. This is a good way of teaching people about the importance of conservation. I may sound like an environmentalist but I'm not. It doesn't mean that I don't have to give a shit about anything that has "conservation" or "environmentalist" stuck with it, at least I still care about the place we live in. Being "green" started quite a long time ago and we have already started the use of the "green" bags for our shopping. I can understand that people don't want to bring it to places like town and what about your groceries? "It's just in the neighbourhood! Maybe they should just cut the supply of plastic bags.

For the earth hour, I was thinking why not just cut the supply of electricity for 1 hour? Make it like a blackout, it's not like it hasn't happened before. I know, there are still many things to consider, like traffic lights, hospital. I just hope people learn...

This is the corridor in my house for now. It's a candle at the handrail of te stairs btw.

Don't you realise that the weather is changing. The monsoon came late this year. And the heat is getting freaking unbearable! Snow storms, earthquakes and more are happening. Maybe it's just mother nature trying to save herself! I just watch "The day the Earth stood still", maybe it will happen, aliens coming to help save earth. [I don't mind having an alien like Keanu Reeves though =D]

Choose between Earth and Global warming. Of course Earth lah! As if Singapore is not hot enough already.

So people, VOTE FOR EARTH!
If we don't take care of Earth, no one will.
